It also increases the skin\u2019s vulnerability to UV damage, which is why it\u2019s typically reserved for evening use.<\/p>\n “Astaxanthin, on the other hand, is exceptionally skin-kind and photostable\u2014meaning it retains its efficacy when exposed to sunlight. It doesn\u2019t sensitise the skin and can be used safely in a daytime formula.
