Finn Allen, Devon Conway, Lockie Ferguson, Tim Seifert and Kane Williamson have agreed terms to play on NZC international casual playing agreements\u00a0for the 2025-26 season.<\/p>\n
The arrangements ensure the players remain part of the BLACKCAPS high-performance system, receiving coaching, medical and mental skills support, alongside access to gym and cricket facilities.<\/p>\n
To be eligible for the casual playing agreement, the players were required to commit themselves to the BLACKCAPS upcoming ICC T20 World Cup campaign, including being available for a specified number of series and games in the build-up to the tournament in India in February and March.<\/p>\n
All players will be selectable for the BLACKCAPS upcoming KFC T20I home series against Australia, England, and the West Indies, except Kane Williamson who has made himself unavailable for the Australia series.<\/p>\n
NZC CEO\u00a0Scott\u00a0Weenink\u00a0said the casual agreements made sense in a T20 World Cup year.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith such a pinnacle event on the horizon we wanted to ensure our best T20 players were ready and available to push for inclusion,\u201d\u00a0he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe casual agreements are a commitment from the players to NZC and the BLACKCAPS, and in return NZC will\u00a0offer our full\u00a0support to these players as part of our high-performance system.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe message from the players is that playing for the BLACKCAPS is hugely important to them and I\u2019m pleased we\u2019ve been able to agree terms to have them casually contracted for the coming season.<\/p>\n
