While many films are promoted as massive hits, the ‘Lagaan’ actor insists that he has always stayed honest about his own projects.During a chat with trade expert Komal Nahta on his show \u2018Game Changers: The Producer Series\u2019, Aamir Khan called the practice \u201cpointless\u201d and explained why lying about a film\u2019s performance is harmful in the long run.<\/p>\n

The ‘Dangal’ actor explained that when his films are released, he insists on sharing the exact figures without changing them. \u201cJab humari film release hoti hai aur uske figures aate hain, jo figures aate hain mein exactly woh deta hun aur meri team ko bolta hun ke koi wrong figure nahi jayega. So in business, I feel it is very silly to lie. (When our film releases and the figures come in, I give the exact figures and tell my team not to release any wrong figures. So in business, I feel it is very silly to lie),” Aamir said.<\/p>\n

When Komal Nahta pointed out that 90% of people in the business choose corporate bookings, the ‘3 Idiots’ actor refused to criticise anyone by name.Aamir Khan responded, \u201cHar admi ki apni majboori hoti hai\u2026. Jhooth toh nahi bolna chaiyeh\u2026 Insaani fitrat hai ke yaar meine film banai, mera business hai, main kyun bolun ke nahi chal raha hai… Logon ko lage ke bahut superhit hogaya toh log mujh mein zyada invest karenge (Every person has their own limitations\u2026 One should not lie\u2026 It is human nature to think that I have made a film, it is my business, so why would I say it is not doing well? Aamir Khan calls corporate booking a short-term trick<\/p>\n

Recently, Aamir starred in \u2018Sitaare Zameen Par\u2019. In the film, Khan played a basketball coach, who is tasked with training a group of adults with intellectual disabilities. Directed by R. S. Prasanna, as per Sacnilk, it earned Rs 267.34 crore worldwide.
