PALMER TWP., Pa.\u00a0\u2013 Residents in Palmer Township will soon have another option for their cable TV and internet provider.<\/p>\n

The Palmer Township Board of Supervisors on Monday approved a cable franchise agreement with Comcast of Southeast Pennsylvania LLC.<\/p>\n

The contract allows the company to construct, operate and maintain its cable system over, under and along various rights-of-way throughout Palmer Township for use by the township’s residents.<\/p>\n

Comcast, based in Philadelphia, offers a suite of products, including internet, video, mobile, voice and home security under the Xfinity brand.<\/p>\n

The township held a public hearing on the cable franchise proposal and also identified Palmer Township’s future cable-related community needs.<\/p>\n
