Paulina Porizkova\u2019s relationship with Ric Ocasek was just what she needed.<\/p>\n
The model broke down her \u201cselfish\u201d love story with her late ex-husband in a lengthy Instagram post<\/a> Monday, explaining that their \u201cchildhood scars\u201d were \u201cplaced in such a way\u201d that they \u201cfit perfectly\u201d together.<\/p>\n However, while describing the ways in which their marriage did \u201cwork beautifully,\u201d Porizkova made a subtle jab at the Cars frontman.<\/p>\n Paulina Porizkova took a jab at Ric Ocasek while describing their relationship via Instagram on Monday. I wanted to heal the little scared boy in his heart who he was so intent on protecting that he armored up against even me,\u201d Porizkova wrote. <\/p>\n \u201cI wanted to make him a better parent,\u201d she continued, claiming that \u201che, in turn, wanted to be adored by someone of public value.\u201d<\/p>\n Porizkova claimed that Ocasek, who \u201cin many ways filled in for [Porizkova\u2019s] parents,\u201d desired \u201csomeone who would make him look good.\u201d<\/p>\n The actress claimed she and Ocasek had a \u201cselfish\u201d romance. So, we\u2019re ditching the bicycle.\u201d<\/p>\n The following year, Ocasek died of heart disease<\/a>.<\/p>\n His estranged wife mourned the Grammy nominee in a touching statement<\/a> at the time, writing, \u201cI found him asleep when bringing him his Sunday morning coffee. I touched his cheek to rouse him. It was then I realized that during the night he had peacefully passed on.\u201d<\/p>\n The duo wed in 1989 and separated in 2017.
