Paula Shaw, who played Pamela Voorhees in Freddy vs. Jason, passed away in her sleep on Wednesday after a lengthy illness. She was 84.<\/p>\n
Although her time in Freddy vs. Jason was brief, Shaw\u2019s role was integral to bringing the two horror icons together; Freddy uses the appearance of Mrs. Voorhees to manipulate Jason into resurrecting the nightmare on Elm Street.<\/p>\n
Shaw\u2019s other genre film credits include Communion, Savage Streets, Witchfire, and Chupacabra Terror.<\/p>\n
