Emmerdale<\/a>\u00a0spoilers follow for Thursday\u2019s (September 18) episode that is\u00a0now available to view<\/a>\u00a0on\u00a0ITVX<\/a>. The episode in question will air on ITV1 on at 7:30pm.<\/p>\n After weeks of being held captive by crazed killer John Sugden<\/a> (Oliver Farnworth<\/a>), Emmerdale has finally confirmed the fate<\/a> of Mackenzie Boyd <\/a>(Lawrence Robb<\/a>). <\/p>\n Mack, as viewers know, has long thought John was a wrong \u2018un<\/a>, having flagged his concerns about the army medic to various villagers who thought he was seeing things that weren\u2019t there.<\/p>\n But his theories proved spot on, with John having something of a hero complex whereby he endangers the lives of those around him so that he can swoop in and claim the glory when he \u2018rescues\u2019 them. <\/p>\n Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) tragically died<\/a> before John could complete his performance and play the hero, prompting the villain to dispose of the farmhand\u2019s body<\/a> in the lake and pin the blame on a patient from the surgery<\/a>.<\/p>\n Mack too suffered at the hands of John, who was responsible for the slurry leak up at Butlers. As fans know, Mack copped the blame for the incident<\/a>, which cost sister Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) a fortune.<\/p>\n Despite John\u2019s best efforts, Mack couldn\u2019t help but shake the feeling that there was something off about him and his worst fears were confirmed last month when he worked out that John was to blame for Nate\u2019s murder.<\/p>\n \t\t In a bid to keep Mack quiet, John chased him through the forest with crossbow, wounding the popular character and taking him prisoner in a bunker<\/a> nearby the remote cottage where he holidayed with Aaron Dingle<\/a> (Danny Miller<\/a>).<\/p>\n Aaron started to piece together the puzzle when he heard Mack\u2019s cries for help<\/a> and the situation escalated dramatically when John \u2013 shortly after confessing his crimes \u2013 grabbed his husband and threw them both from a gorge<\/a>.<\/p>\n Robert Sugden<\/a> (Ryan Hawley<\/a>) watched in horror and was subsequently jailed, with the police believing that he pushed Aaron and love rival John in a heated act of revenge. <\/p>\n \t\t \t\t\t\tFollow Metro Soaps on WhatsApp and get all the latest spoilers first!\t\t\t<\/p>\n Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? But Victoria\u2019s (Isabel Hodgins) spidey senses were tingling<\/a> after a prison visit with Robert as she started to realise that John was not all he seemed.<\/p>\n With Aaron due to wake from his coma, John attempted to murder him before making a run for it. His plan failed, however, as Aaron subsequently woke up and notified his loved ones<\/a> about Mackenzie being trapped in the bunker. <\/p>\n A number of days had passed since viewers last had any sort of update regarding Mack\u2019s status but Thursday\u2019s offering of the ITV serial confirmed that he\u2019s alive.<\/p>\n \t\t The much-loved character injected himself with the syringe<\/a> John had left for him previously, hoping to bring his nightmare to an end<\/a>. As John fled the scene, Mack\u2019s immediate family were notified \u2013 and it wasn\u2019t looking good.<\/p>\n Charity, meanwhile, waited at Mack\u2019s beside. In heartwarming scenes, Mack regained consciousness. Charity fought tears and kissed her husband\u2019s head, relieved to have him back with her.<\/p>\n \t\t No, you\u2019re crying. <\/p>\n The question is: will John be apprehended and punished for his crimes?
