Apple CEO Tim Cook said that another installment is \u201calready a talking point.\u201d Saunders notes \u201cF1,\u201d starring Brad Pitt, surpassed $600M worldwide in August, \u201cmaking it the highest-grossing Apple film of all time and the highest-grossing sports movie ever made.\u201d The film was given \u201cunprecedented access\u201d to F1 in an \u201cattempt to make it the most authentic racing movie ever\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/f1\/story\/_\/id\/46302055\/f1-movie-sequel-discussion-apple-boss-tim-cook\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/f1\/story\/_\/id\/46302055\/f1-movie-sequel-discussion-apple-boss-tim-cook\">ESPN.com, 9\/18<\/a>). MOTORSPORT\u2019s Alex Harrington notes the film opened to $55.6M in North America and $144M worldwide, but by mid-September, \u201csoon rocketed\u201d to $189.3M in the U.S. and Canada. IMAX added \u201canother stream of success,\u201d with $85M in ticket sales.
