Colin Farrell<\/a> reflected on the prospects of a team-up between the Penguin and Harley Quinn after Margot Robbie<\/a> expressed her interest in it. Notably, she portrayed Harley Quinn in several DC Extended Universe (DCEU) projects. Meanwhile, Farrell essayed the role of Oswald \u201cOz\u201d Cobb \/ The Penguin in Matt Reeves\u2019<\/a> Batman Epic Crime Saga franchise. The two Oscar nominees have worked together in the romantic fantasy feature A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, which premieres in US theaters on September 19, 2025.<\/p>\n

The Banshees of Inisherin star spoke about whether a potential team-up between the Penguin and Harley Quinn at the premiere of A Big Bold Beautiful Journey. <\/p>\n

Back in August 2025, Colin Farrell and Margot Robbie spoke on whether a Penguin and Harley Quinn crossover can happen during an interview with Variety<\/a>. The Barbie<\/a> actress suggested that the outlet should ask James Gunn<\/a> about it before declaring that the Penguin and Harley Quinn would be a \u201chot\u201d and \u201cdemented\u201d couple. At the time, Farrell didn\u2019t seem to agree with the first adjective.<\/p>\n

Farrell apparently hasn\u2019t changed his opinion on this. When recently asked by Entertainment Tonight<\/a> about Robbie\u2019s crossover comment and that the characters would make a \u201chot couple,\u201d the 49-year-old actor responded, \u201cI can\u2019t imagine that. That\u2019s for the Penguin\u2019s Perspective.\u201d<\/p>\n

Answering a question about whether Margot Robbie could join the Batman universe, Colin Farrell noted, \u201cI don\u2019t think what she meant by crossover is what you received.\u201d<\/p>\n

The interviewer then enquired what the Penguin and Harley Quinn hanging out together would look like.
