An urgent ‘do not eat’ warning has been issued for a product sold at Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Morrisons due to is posing a “possible health risk” to some shoppers. The item is now being recalled and shoppers are being urged to return it to their nearest store.<\/p>\n

Any shoppers who have bought packs of The Jolly Hog’s Leek Porkers 6 British Sausages at Sainsbury’s<\/a>, Waitrose<\/a> or Morrisons<\/a> are urged to return the packs to their nearest store after the item was found to pose a “possible health risk” to certain shoppers.<\/p>\n

The recall<\/a> comes as the product contains milk which was not declared on its label, making it a health risk to any conumers with an allergy or an intolerance to milk or milk constituents.<\/p>\n

Issuing a allergy alert for the product, the Food Standards Authority (FSA) has outlined only products sold at Sainsbury\u2019s, Waitrose and Morrisons are impacted by the recall. Affected products have a use by date of September 28, 2025.<\/p>\n

Shoppers with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents are now being urged not to eat the product and to instead return it to their nearest affected supermarket.<\/p>\n

Outlining advice to consumers affected by the recall, the FSA wrote: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it.<\/p>\n

“Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund. You can contact The Jolly Hog customer care via email info@thejollyhog.com.”<\/p>\n

The Jolly Hog has also apologised for any inconvenience caused by the recall and has thanked shoppers for their cooperation.<\/p>\n

The company has also issued point-of-sale notices to inform consumers of the recall and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations.<\/p>\n
