Time is surely running out for killer\u00a0John Sugden<\/a>\u00a0(Oliver Farnworth<\/a>) on\u00a0Emmerdale<\/a>, but when killers are cornered that\u2019s when they\u2019re at their most dangerous. <\/p>\n

We know that John is incredibly ruthless, and there\u2019s nothing he won\u2019t do to cover his own tracks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We also know that he hates his half-brother\u00a0Robert Sugden<\/a>\u00a0(Ryan Hawley<\/a>) with every fibre of his being, and in upcoming episodes he\u2019s determined that he\u2019s going to end Robert \u2013 even if it\u2019s the last thing he does.<\/p>\n

When Robert returned to the village earlier this year he arrived on the day of John and Aaron\u2019s wedding. Even though\u00a0the wedding went ahead<\/a>, it was touch and go as Aaron and Robert kissed before the service and it was clear that the connection between the two was still very strong.<\/p>\n

Since then, even though Aaron fought his feelings, he ended up\u00a0sleeping with Robert.<\/a>\u00a0It was discovering this that led John to begin to completely unravel as he and Aaron moved to the remote cottage that was John\u2019s childhood home.<\/p>\n

In his jealousy he ended up drugging Aaron, and when a worried Robert came to find out what was going on, John staged a dramatic cliff fall, making it look like Robert had pushed him and Aaron.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This was convincing enough to land Robert in jail on remand for attempted murder, as with Robert\u2019s history of violence and the motive of being jealous that Aaron had moved on with John,\u00a0it seemed plausible<\/a>\u00a0that he could have pushed them both in a jealous rage.<\/p>\n

That was only going to work for John for as long\u00a0as Aaron remained unconscious \u2013 or worse<\/a>. As Aaron begins to recover and other people piece together John\u2019s suspicious behaviour, the truth finally unfolds.<\/p>\n

With John\u2019s true nature now exposed, he\u2019s on the run.<\/a> <\/p>\n

With police swarming all over the village, he\u2019s holed up at Keepers Cottage \u2013 and he\u2019s specifically waiting for Robert to return. He\u2019s prepared a syringe of poison for his arch enemy.<\/p>\n

Oblivious to this, Victoria (Isabel Hodgins), Robert and Harry arrive back home. They send Harry inside ahead of them, while outside they talk about John, and whether he really cared about Victoria or was pretending the whole time.<\/p>\n

With Harry already in the house and Robert and Victoria about to follow him, the stage is set for a terrifying confrontation. Is John about to add to his tally of victims?<\/p>\n
