{"id":148540,"date":"2025-09-20T02:47:06","date_gmt":"2025-09-20T02:47:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/148540\/"},"modified":"2025-09-20T02:47:06","modified_gmt":"2025-09-20T02:47:06","slug":"boulderlight-pictures-duo-setting-up-shop-at-paramount-with-new-genre-label","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/148540\/","title":{"rendered":"BoulderLight Pictures Duo Setting Up Shop at Paramount With New Genre Label"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With films under their belt including Zach Cregger\u2019s Barbarian and Weapons, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boulderlightpictures.com\/films\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">BoulderLight Pictures<\/a>\u00a0has become a respected production company in the genre space in recent years, and <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/09\/boulderlight-paramount-genre-label-1236549844\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Deadline reports tonight<\/a> that the team has made their next big move.<\/p>\n<p>BoulderLight\u2019s JD Lifshitz and Raphael Margules entered a first-look deal with Warner Bros.\/New Line Cinema back in 2023, but Deadline reports that once that deal is up in January 2026, the BoulderLight team will next be setting up shop at Paramount.<\/p>\n<p>Over at Paramount, Lifshitz and Margules will lead a new genre label. Beginning next year, Deadline notes, \u201cthey will begin developing, producing and releasing a slate of the high-concept, boundary-pushing films for which they have become known.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Paramount Pictures\u2019 Josh Greenstein and Dana Goldberg said in a statement, \u201cJ.D. and Rafi have distinguished themselves as two standout visionaries of the \u201cpremium pulp\u201d genre, while also proving their prowess across all genres. With a track record of films that are both critically acclaimed and audience-beloved, we are so thrilled that they\u2019re making their home at Paramount Pictures.
