She might have been just 27-years-old when she met 53-year-old Rod Stewart<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But his wife Penny Lancaster<\/a>, 54, has declared: \u2018I\u2019m the oldest person Rod\u2019s ever slept with – and that happened a long time ago.<\/p>\n

\u2018When I met him, the oldest woman he\u2019d ever slept with would have been 30. Now he\u2019s the oldest man that I\u2019ve slept with too!’<\/p>\n

Posing for the cover of Woman and Home in a denim jumpsuit from the Los Angeles<\/a> based brand, Current\/Elliot, the mother-of-two opened up about her 18 year marriage to the Faces rocker.<\/p>\n

The couple have sons Alastair, 19, and Aiden, 14, but the former model shared the 80-year-old rocker\u2019s regret at his previous reluctance to start a family with her.<\/p>\n

She said: \u2018My biggest burning desire was to have a family. I respected that he had been through that enough times, and that might not be where he would want to go again. [I decided that] we would enjoy one another for as long as possible, but eventually I would have to bail.<\/p>\n

\u2018He always says to me, \u201cI wish I\u2019d recognised it earlier. If we had started earlier, we could have more children,” \u2013 because even after having Alastair and Aiden, we talked about adopting.\u2019<\/p>\n

Stewart put his first child up for adoption, Sarah, 61, who he welcomed with his ex-girlfriend Susannah Boffey when he was just 17, he later formed a relationship with her.<\/p>\n

He had daughter Kimberly, 47, and son Sean, 45, with his ex-wife Alana Stewart and a daughter Ruby, 38, with his ex-girlfriend Kelly Emberg.<\/p>\n

While married to his ex-wife Rachel Hunter, the Faces frontman had two more children, Renee, 33, and Liam, 30.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Rod recently\u00a0opened up about how his split from Rachel ‘tore him to shreds’.<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the breakdown of their marriage, Rod admitted their age gap did end up being the reason for their eventual split.<\/p>\n

Making rare comments about his ex-wife, he told The Times: ‘Rachel left me because she was too young – my sister said I should never have married her in the first place -but it tore me to shreds.’<\/p>\n

Rod met his now-wife Penny Lancaster just six months after his split from Rachel, and said the gap was purely because his friend wouldn’t hand over her number.<\/p>\n

In her interview, Penny – who was just 27 when she met Sir Rod – revealed how her ‘burning desire was to have a family’ with the hitmaker\u00a0<\/p>\n

Speaking about starting her family later in life, Penny said:\u00a0\u2018He always says to me, \u201cI wish I\u2019d recognised it earlier. If we had started earlier, we could have more children”‘<\/p>\n

When asked if he wanted to be single first, he quipped: ‘F***ing right, there were six months between Rachel and Penny because my bass player, who had Penny’s number, wouldn’t give it to me.<\/p>\n

‘He said, “All you’re going to do now is s**g around”, and he was right: I had a splendid time in those six months.’<\/p>\n

Rod gushed over his wife Penny, and told how she has ‘everything’ he wants as he revealed he is now happier than ever.<\/p>\n

The Maggie May hitmaker first met his ex-wife Rachel at Roxbury Club in Los Angeles and told how he thought she was a ‘goddess’ in his 2012 autobiography.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘There was a connection straight away. She was extremely beautiful, but there was something no-nonsense about her as well,’ he shared in the book.<\/p>\n

‘It was there in her New Zealand accent, but also in her face, which was open and smart.<\/p>\n

‘Not only was she as far removed as could be from the stereotype of the flaky model, but she already had money and fame.<\/p>\n

‘That was a relief.
