With John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) finally revealed to be Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter)\u2019s killer on\u00a0Emmerdale<\/a>, Nate\u2019s father\u00a0Cain Dingle<\/a>\u00a0(Jeff Hordley<\/a>) finally has someone to direct his rage towards.<\/p>\n When Nate\u2019s body was discovered in the lake,\u00a0Cain soon found himself as chief suspect<\/a>. He\u2019d had a violent argument with Nate prior to his disappearance, as he wrongly believed Nate was once again having an affair with Moira (Natalie J Robb), so he seemed to have the motive.\u00a0<\/p>\n Knowing that he\u2019d behaved in such a way the last time he saw his son preyed on Cain\u2019s mind as he tried to work out who really had been responsible for killing Nate \u2013 with his focus initially turning to Nate\u2019s wife Tracy (Amy Walsh), before he and Tracy finally decided to join forces to try to work out who the real killer was.\u00a0<\/p>\n Now with the truth finally out, Cain has a target for his anger. But there\u2019s someone else apart from John who he blames for Nate\u2019s death, and that\u2019s\u00a0Aaron Dingle<\/a>\u00a0(Danny Miller<\/a>).<\/p>\n His reasoning? If it hadn\u2019t been for Aaron, John would have never stayed in the village. <\/p>\n \t\t And Cain can\u2019t work out why Aaron, who\u2019s been living with John all this time, couldn\u2019t have spotted any clues in John\u2019s behaviour that might have pointed to him being a killer. With John having gone to ground, Cain has nowhere to direct the anger he feels towards him, so he focuses on Aaron instead.<\/p>\n Aaron is, of course, not in the best way himself. Having been through a physically traumatic ordeal with the cliff fall following\u00a0days of being drugged by John<\/a>, his health is still not good. Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly) goes to the hospital to see him. Ruby and Aaron have had a connection since he was the first person to notice that there was something amiss in the relationship between Ruby and her father Anthony (Nicholas Day) as he spotted the signs of abuse.<\/p>\n Eventually\u00a0Aaron angrily confronted Anthony<\/a>\u00a0and attacked him. He thought he\u2019d killed him, but it was later revealed that Ruby had found him still alive and had finished the job herself.<\/p>\n \t\t With this shared background between them, Ruby tries to convince Aaron that what happened with John wasn\u2019t his fault. She draws parallels between what happened between her and her father with what John put Aaron through, that they were both victims of dangerous, manipulative men.<\/p>\n Aaron is still remorseful that he didn\u2019t spot any signs of John\u2019s true nature, wishing he could have stopped him from killing Nate.
