The India women’s team<\/a> will be wearing pink jerseys in the series-deciding ODI against Australia: here’s why.<\/p>\n The third and final ODI is set to decide the series, with India responding to an eight-wicket loss in the first game with a thumping 102-run win in the second. It was Australia’s biggest defeat in ODIs, and India’s first home ODI win over them in 18 years.<\/p>\n Ahead of the third ODI, India Women unveiled a unique pink-coloured jersey, which will be worn on Saturday against Australia. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n Why are India Women wearing pink jerseys? <\/p>\n The pink jerseys will be worn to promote breast cancer awareness, as part of a partnership with SBI Life’s Thanks A Dot initiative. The team also put out a video, featuring captain Harmanpreet Kaur,<\/a> Pratika Rawal<\/a> and Sneh Rana<\/a>, spreading a message on breast cancer awareness.<\/p>\n It adds to other cricket-led campaigns on breast cancer awareness, most notably the Pink Day Test played annually in Australia, as well as the Pink ODI in South Africa.<\/p>\n The Delhi ODI will be the final one between the two teams before the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup begins. <\/p>\n In the second ODI, India secured a 102-run win. Smriti Mandhana headlined India’s innings with 117, taking them to 292. Then, Kranti Goud’s three-wicket haul helped fold Australia to 190 all out.
