{"id":153019,"date":"2025-09-22T11:41:07","date_gmt":"2025-09-22T11:41:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/153019\/"},"modified":"2025-09-22T11:41:07","modified_gmt":"2025-09-22T11:41:07","slug":"red-bull-christian-horner-formally-leaves-with-52m-pay-off","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/153019\/","title":{"rendered":"Red Bull: Christian Horner formally leaves with \u00a352m pay-off"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">On 9 July the team announced Horner had been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/sport\/formula1\/articles\/cn5k6y1xyl3o\" class=\"ssrcss-k8mrr8-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;released from his operational duties&#8221;.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He was dismissed after a controversial 18 months that started when a female employee accused him of sexual harassment, an allegation that was made public in February 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Horner was twice cleared of the claims, firstly after an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/sport\/formula1\/68411597\" class=\"ssrcss-k8mrr8-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">internal investigation<\/a> conducted by a lawyer, then by another lawyer who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/sport\/articles\/c5ylwydwz5lo\" class=\"ssrcss-k8mrr8-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">dismissed<\/a> the complainant&#8217;s appeal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">In a statement on Monday Oliver Mintzlaff, Red Bull&#8217;s chief executive officer corporate projects and investments, thanked Horner for his &#8220;exceptional work&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He added: &#8220;With his tireless commitment, experience, expertise and innovative thinking, he has been instrumental in establishing Red Bull Racing as one of the most successful and attractive teams in Formula 1.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Horner said in the same statement that leading Red Bull had been &#8220;an honour and a privilege&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">More to follow.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"On 9 July the team announced Horner had been &#8220;released from his operational duties&#8221;.
