6<\/p>\n Bethpage Black in New York plays host to this year’s edition of the Ryder Cup – which starts on September 26Credit: Getty Images – Getty<\/p>\n Luke Donald\u2019s Team Europe<\/a> head to the iconic New York course in high spirits following their dominant win in Rome two years ago.<\/p>\n Donald has decided against changing his team too much while Keegan Bradley\u2019s American roster includes four rookies and several controversial captain\u2019s picks.<\/p>\n But the home side do, of course, have plenty of quality, a massive home-field advantage and will be led by undisputed world No.1 Scottie Scheffler.<\/p>\n This week will see the All-Star Celebrity Match held on Wednesday before the opening ceremony on Thursday and it all builds up to Friday morning\u2019s first foursomes match.<\/p>\n I’m Ryder Cup strategist and Europe have gone to extreme lengths for New York<\/p>\n Amid a hectic week at Bethpage, talkSPORT.com will bring you all the latest news from around the event in our \u2018Ryder Cup Unrestricted\u2019 series\u2026<\/p>\n Lowry’s big money day out<\/p>\n Team Europe have been in New York for over a week already with the squad heading stateside following the conclusion of last week\u2019s BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.<\/p>\n Donald\u2019s men enjoyed a week of practice at Bethpage before a weekend off.<\/p>\n And several stars took advantage of their down days to explore the local area.<\/p>\n Shane Lowry posted on his social media channels his Saturday antics at the prestigious Friar’s Head Golf Club on Long Island.<\/p>\n Lowry was joined by Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton and Rasmus Hojgaard for their day out at the very exclusive – and expensive – private members’ club.<\/p>\n It is understood initiation fees for a membership at Friar’s Head can costs upwards of $500,000 and are by invitation only.<\/p>\n Captain Donald commented on Lowry\u2019s post: \u201cFriars Head and some lads enjoying some golf.
