{"id":154564,"date":"2025-09-23T04:31:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-23T04:31:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/154564\/"},"modified":"2025-09-23T04:31:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-23T04:31:11","slug":"rob-keogh-northamptonshire-all-rounder-extends-contract","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/154564\/","title":{"rendered":"Rob Keogh: Northamptonshire all-rounder extends contract"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Northamptonshire all-rounder Rob Keogh has signed a contract extension with the club for next season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Keogh is just 38 runs short of 10,000 in all competitions and has also taken 220 wickets with his off-spin.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He has played 10 County Championship and five One-Day Cup matches this season after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/c2ljqjnkly2o\" class=\"ssrcss-k8mrr8-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">revealing in March that he had to miss part of the 2024 campaign because of mental health issues. <\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;I&#8217;ve got a lot of respect for everything he&#8217;s given the club since a young age,&#8221; head coach Darren Lehmann said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Rob&#8217;s now one of the senior members of the squad who brings so much experience and knowledge to the dressing room.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Northamptonshire will end the season with a home County Championship game against Division Two champions Leicestershire, starting on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;After making my debut in 2010 and winning trophies and promotions with the club, I still feel like I have more to prove and give, and I&#8217;m really looking forward to 2026,&#8221; Keogh said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Northamptonshire all-rounder Rob Keogh has signed a contract extension with the club for next season.
