Hallmark star Mike Heslin died <\/a>during his birthday trip to Las Vegas after restaurant staffers allegedly blocked CPR from being performed during his medical emergency, a new lawsuit claims.<\/p>\n

Heslin\u2019s husband, Scotty Dynamo, claimed in a new filing that staffers at Javier\u2019s at the Aria Hotel allowed an \u201cavoidable tragedy\u201d through multiple \u201cfailures\u201d to provide emergency care, according to docs obtained by Daily Mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dynamo claimed in the suit filed Sept. 18 that the \u201cLioness\u201d actor had \u201cexhibited obvious signs of a medical emergency,\u201d but that the restaurant staff did not do anything to help and even \u201cforcefully interfered\u201d with a nearby diner who attempted to perform CPR. <\/p>\n

Heslin\u2019s friends also claimed in the docs that the restaurant never retrieved an automated external defibrillator (AED) during the medical emergency, despite having one on the property.<\/p>\n

They also alleged being \u201cforcefully removed\u201d from the resort during the incident. <\/p>\n

Restaurant staffers are accused of preventing other diners from helping Heslin, and his friends claimed they were \u201cthreatened with arrest\u201d for trying to provide aid, according to the lawsuit.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

His pals also claim they attempted to record the incident on their phones, but that staffers allegedly \u201cdemanded\u201d that the videos be deleted, per the docs.<\/p>\n

The restaurant is being sued for five counts of wrongful death; loss of consortium; negligence; negligent hiring, retention, training and supervision; and gross negligence, according to the\u00a0Las Vegas Review Journal<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Heslin\u2019s spouse claimed that Heslin\u2019s death was \u201ca direct and proximate result of Defendants\u2019 acts and omissions\u201d and is seeking damages in excess of $30,000, funeral expenses, and punitive damages.<\/p>\n

MGM Resorts International denied Dynamo\u2019s accusations via a statement to Page Six Monday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese claims are not aligned with the facts, and we will respond through the legal process,\u201d the hospitality company said. <\/p>\n

Dynamo did not immediately return our request for comment.<\/p>\n

Dynamo announced that Heslin died from an \u201cunexpected cardiac arrest\u201d in July 2024. Instagram \/ Scotty Dynamo<\/p>\n

Dynamo said that his partner was \u201cin perfect health\u201d at the time of his death. Instagram \/ @mikeheslin<\/p>\n

Dynamo mourned the loss of his \u201csoulmate\u201d in a heartbreaking Instagram post<\/a> last July, writing that Heslin died from an \u201cunexpected cardiac arrest.\u201d He was 35.<\/p>\n

\u201cMichael was young, in perfect health, and the doctors have no explanation for what happened,\u201d Dynamo wrote at the time, adding, \u201cWhen I felt you take your last breath, my heart shattered into a million pieces.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I had the power to trade places with you, I would do it in an instant.\u201d<\/p>\n
