{"id":155119,"date":"2025-09-23T10:01:07","date_gmt":"2025-09-23T10:01:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/155119\/"},"modified":"2025-09-23T10:01:07","modified_gmt":"2025-09-23T10:01:07","slug":"eu-readies-for-time-out-on-enforcing-ai-rules-politico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/155119\/","title":{"rendered":"EU readies for time out on enforcing AI rules \u2013 POLITICO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The same day, the Commission opened a <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/law\/better-regulation\/info\/law\/better-regulation\/have-your-say\/initiatives\/7568284-Digital-package-digital-omnibus-_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">consultation<\/a> on an effort to simplify the EU\u2019s tech rulebooks, in which it said that \u201ctargeted adjustments\u201d to the EU\u2019s AI Act are on the table as part of that package.\u00a0Pausing parts of the act would require an adjustment to the law.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, POLITICO <a href=\"https:\/\/pro.politico.eu\/news\/205050\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">reported exclusively<\/a> on an undated draft of the Commission\u2019s plan to boost AI adoption, expected to be presented Oct. 8.
