{"id":155620,"date":"2025-09-23T14:47:05","date_gmt":"2025-09-23T14:47:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/155620\/"},"modified":"2025-09-23T14:47:05","modified_gmt":"2025-09-23T14:47:05","slug":"supporting-low-carbon-utility-solutions-in-uk-housing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/155620\/","title":{"rendered":"Supporting low-carbon utility solutions in UK housing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>    In 2024, Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) acquired a 50 per cent stake in Last Mile Infrastructure Group (Last Mile), which designs, builds, owns and manages \u2018last mile\u2019 utility connections and is one of the UK\u2019s largest independent network owners.<\/p>\n<p>Last Mile owns and manages approximately 910,000 connections, providing the vital link between distribution networks and end-customers for electricity, gas, heat, water and wastewater.<\/p>\n<p>With its investment partner, MAM is supporting Last Mile\u2019s plans to deliver an additional 730,000 contracted pipeline of multi-utility connections to meet growing demand for housing and businesses alike.<a href=\"#footnote-3\">3<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Last Mile is also advancing decarbonisation efforts through innovative partnerships and solutions to help support the electrification of heating and transport throughout the UK \u2013 including heat networks and EV charging connections.
