{"id":156196,"date":"2025-09-23T20:25:13","date_gmt":"2025-09-23T20:25:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/156196\/"},"modified":"2025-09-23T20:25:13","modified_gmt":"2025-09-23T20:25:13","slug":"watch-the-bride-trailer-for-maggie-gyllenhaal-frankenstein-movie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/156196\/","title":{"rendered":"Watch &#8216;The Bride!&#8217; Trailer for Maggie Gyllenhaal Frankenstein Movie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/jessie-buckley\/\" id=\"auto-tag_jessie-buckley_1\" data-tag=\"jessie-buckley\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jessie Buckley<\/a> returns to life as the kick-ass outlaw lover for a punk Frankenstein in the teaser trailer for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/maggie-gyllenhaal\/\" id=\"auto-tag_maggie-gyllenhaal_1\" data-tag=\"maggie-gyllenhaal\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Maggie Gyllenhaal<\/a>\u2019s The Bride!, which dropped on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tGyllenhaal\u2019s sophomore feature and her fresh take on Mary Shelley\u2019s classic story is set in 1930s Chicago and centers on a lonesome Frankenstein, played by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/christian-bale\/\" id=\"auto-tag_christian-bale_1\" data-tag=\"christian-bale\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Christian Bale<\/a>, who recruits Dr. Euphronios to create a companion for himself.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe two revive a murdered young woman and the titular bride played by Buckley is born. \u201cThere is nothing left to do now, but live,\u201d Bale as Frankenstein tells a bleached-blonde bride as their monstrous love story and killing spree, with a hint of Bonnie and Clyde or Wild at Heart, gets underway.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe Bride! is headed to theaters in March 2026 after Guillermo del Toro\u2019s Frankenstein, the horror meister\u2019s own encounter with Mary Shelley\u2019s classic 1818 novel and starring Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi and Mia Goth arrives in theaters for a limited run in October, ahead of a Netflix streaming release.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/the-bride-2\/\" id=\"auto-tag_the-bride-2_1\" data-tag=\"the-bride-2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Bride!<\/a> also stars Peter Sarsgaard, Annette Bening, Jake Gyllenhaal and Penelope Cruz. Maggie Gyllenhaal directs from her own screenplay and produces alongside Emma Tillinger Koskoff, Talia Kleinhendler and Osnat Handelsman Keren.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tCarla Raij, David Webb and Courtney Kivowitz share executive producer credits. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/warner-bros\/\" id=\"auto-tag_warner-bros_1\" data-tag=\"warner-bros\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Warner Bros.<\/a> Pictures will release The Bride! in theaters and on Imax screens in North America on March 6, 2026. That\u2019s preceded by an international theatrical rollout starting March 4, 2026.
