\n\tJimmy Kimmel<\/a> Live! is back <\/a>after a week\u2019s pause with Glen Powell<\/a> and Sarah McLachlan<\/a> set as guests.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe show is returning for the first in nearly a week after the show was preempted indefinitely<\/a> after controversy surrounding comments made by Kimmel about Charlie Kirk\u2019s killer led to veiled threats by FCC chair Brendan Carr.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\tPowell is promoting Hulu sports comedy series Chad Powers, which he co-created and stars in. The six-part series, which also stars Steve Zahn, Toby Huss, Perry Mattfeld and Wynn Everett, premieres on September 30.<\/p>\n

\n\tMcLachlan, who is the musical guest, is promoting her new album Better Broken as well as ABC News documentary Lilith Fair: Building A Mystery, which explores the story behind the female-led festival that she founded. The doc is directed by Ally Pankiw and was released on September 21.<\/p>\n

\n\tMcLachlan stood in solidarity with Kimmel over the weekend<\/a> after she and other talent decided not to perform at the premiere of the doc after Disney\u2019s decision to pull Jimmy Kimmel Live<\/a>! last week.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s a gift for all of us to see [this film], but also I\u2019ve grappled with being here tonight and around what to say about the present situation that we are all faced with, the stark contraction to the many advances we\u2019ve made watching the insidious erosion of women\u2019s rights, of trans and queer rights, the muzzling of free speech,\u201d she said in her introduction. \u201cI think we\u2019re all fearful for what comes next, and none of us know, but what I do know is that I have to keep pushing forward as an artist, as a woman to find a way through, and though I don\u2019t begin to know what the answer is, I believe we all need to work towards a softening to let in the possibility of a better way, because I see music as a bridge to our shared humanity, to finding common ground.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOther guests this week include The Lowdown\u2019s Ethan Hawke, Abbott Elementary\u2019s Lisa Ann Walter, Powell\u2019s Chad Powers colleague Peyton Manning and The Paper\u2019s Oscar Nu\u00f1ez as well as musical guests Yungblud and Alex G.<\/p>\n
