The company defines such brands as those that have the \u201cpower to attract conversation, measured through organic <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/beauty-industry-news\/beauty-features\/tiktok-beauty-ugc-gifting-campaign-gisou-huda-jo-malone-1236251207\/\">user-generated content (UGC)<\/a>.\u201d It looks at \u201cbrand magnetism\u201d measurements by how much the brand is talked about and how often it is talked about online.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe top 50 brands have been given a \u201cmagnetic\u201d score, out of 100, by examining their organic popularity (average weekly engagement of UGC over time) and consistency (variation in average weekly engagement of UGC over time) on three <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/tag\/social-media-2\/\" id=\"auto-tag_social-media-2\" data-tag=\"social-media-2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">social media<\/a> platforms: <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/tag\/tiktok\/\" id=\"auto-tag_tiktok\" data-tag=\"tiktok\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TikTok<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/tag\/instagram\/\" id=\"auto-tag_instagram\" data-tag=\"instagram\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a> and YouTube.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tDCDX said that UGC has become an important metric for brands that are shaping <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/tag\/consumer-spending\/\" id=\"auto-tag_consumer-spending\" data-tag=\"consumer-spending\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">consumer spending<\/a> decisions \u2014 70 percent of Gen Z said it\u2019s a helpful part of their buying journey and six in 10 consumers said that UGC \u201cfeels like the most genuine form of advertising.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tMost notably, the firm said that short-term video is the top media format with the highest ROI, outperforming all other formats on every channel \u2014 DCDX said that they have become an integral part of how consumers are connecting with brands. And through <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/shop\/shop-beauty\/nocturnal-polar-night-morning-shed-serum-buy-online-1238196702\/\" id=\"related_article_link_tiktok\" data-tag=\"tiktok\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TikTok<\/a>, YouTube and <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/fashion-news\/fashion-features\/cfda-vogue-fashion-fund-americans-in-paris-lowe-designers-1238205576\/\" id=\"related_article_link_instagram\" data-tag=\"instagram\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a>, the social platforms are creating new ways for brand discovery, creating social trends and dictating what resonates for brands.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tFor DCDX\u2019s top 50 most magnetic brands of 2025, the top nine brands generated more than 50 percent of all user-generated content engagement \u2014 and represent more than 113 billion engagements over the past year. The top 25 brands on the list drove 75 percent of overall engagement for the list. The \u201cMagnetic 50\u201d ranking report is also broken down separately by the three <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/business-news\/technology\/twitch-streamers-kai-cenat-ninja-valkyrae-fashion-beauty-1238068395\/\" id=\"related_article_link_social-media-2\" data-tag=\"social-media-2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">social media<\/a> platforms.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe notable brands on the list include Disney, Roblox, Apple, Twitch, NBA, Netflix, Amazon, NFL, Formula 1, Target, Pinterest, Google, Samsung, Ferrari, OpenAI, Lamborghini, Red Bull, Sephora, Nike, Audi, Zara, Snapchat, HBO, Walmart, Shein, WNBA, Tumblr, Adidas, Dior, Rhode and Huda Beauty.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAmong the brands (some of which didn\u2019t make the company\u2019s top 50 list) that saw the biggest momentum with the rate of change in weekly engagements are Huda Beauty, WNBA, Rhode, Netflix, Ulta, Maybelline, Twitch, Shein, Formula 1 and the NBA.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tMeanwhile, the brands that saw the biggest fall in momentum with the rate of change in weekly engagements include Tesla, NFL, Lamborghini, Nike, Audi, Apple, Ferrari, Amazon, Target, Temu, Walmart, Adidas, Sephora, Google, Coca Cola, Spotify, DoorDash, Disney and Red Bull.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cThe most \u2018Magnetic Brands\u2019 are the ones that provide the groundwork for fandom to form. Entertainment, media and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/fashion-news\/fashion-features\/fashion-sports-1236763334\/\">sports brands<\/a> continue to dominate our rankings because their consumers are fundamentally different. Fans are natural brand advocates \u2014 they are more than just customers. These consumers are invested in ongoing outcomes and narratives.
