Some users on Reddit and elsewhere are reporting that the search function in Apple\u2019s Calendar app is broken in iOS 26<\/a>.<\/p>\n Those affected say that no search results are found. A workaround has been successful for some, but not for all \u2026<\/p>\n Redditor Electronic-Squash359<\/a> writes:<\/p>\n I was trying to backdate some lessons and try to understand how many I have done with a particular student called Claudia \u2013 we have easily done a lesson per week for the past 2 years. When I try to search her (and many other students), I get nothing in the search results\u2026but, as you can see, the lessons are there.<\/p>\n Others replied that the same thing is happening to them after they updated to iOS 26.<\/p>\n An Apple Support Communities user said that the company has acknowledged<\/a> the issue.<\/p>\n I noticed this too in iOS 26 on my iPhone 17 Pro Max and on a few of my other colleagues\u2019 iPhones for confirmation. I was on a long call with Apple Support this afternoon and they also realised there was a problem after 30 mins of \u201cchecking\u201d.<\/p>\n Some report that autocomplete based on previous calendar entries also doesn\u2019t work. Normally, when you start typing a new calendar entry and previous ones are found with the same initial wording, it will display these as suggestions.<\/p>\n One solution<\/a> has been found which fixes the problem for many, but not for all.<\/p>\n Go to Settings > Apps > Calendar > Search, turn off the two settings there, reboot your device and turn those settings back on. Wait a few minutes for the search index to rebuild.<\/p>\n I followed these steps and initially I didn\u2019t see it was fixed. Tried searching again in 30 minutes and everything (search) works again.<\/p>\n Are you seeing this issue?
