Eduardo Camavinga to Newcastle could be on the cards as the Frenchman continues to find himself on the periphery under new Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso.<\/p>\n
Camavinga has been linked with a move to the Premier League by Football Insider correspondent Mick Brown<\/a>, who the website says \u2018remains\u00a0very well-connected within the game\u2019.<\/p>\n Brown claims that Camavinga is considering his long-term future, and after previously being linked with Manchester United<\/a>, Newcastle could make an \u201cambitious move\u201d for the 22-year-old.<\/p>\n The former Red Devils chief scout says Newcastle<\/a> are likely to be among the clubs \u201cwilling to take a gamble on bringing him in\u201d if Camavinga\u2019s situation at Madrid doesn\u2019t improve.<\/p>\n \u201cIt gets to a point where he\u2019s going to ask questions about his future,\u201d Brown said.<\/p>\n \u201cHe was the talk of the town not long ago, everybody said he would be the next big thing, and he\u2019s a brilliantly talented player who always looks impressive.<\/p>\n \u201cOver the last year or two, though, he hasn\u2019t been as involved in the Real Madrid team as you\u2019d expect. Whether there\u2019s an issue behind the scenes, I don\u2019t know, but both Ancelotti and now Alonso haven\u2019t really had him as part of their plans.<\/p>\n MORE ON NEWCASTLE ON F365 \u201cI think, at least in his head, he\u2019ll be looking at the options available to him if he were to move away from Madrid, and seeing what might be there for him.<\/p>\n \u201cA move to the Premier League would suit him, and I definitely think it\u2019s something he\u2019d be open to.<\/p>\n \u201cMan United have been linked with him quite a lot, but the club I\u2019ve heard mentioned recently is Newcastle; it could be an ambitious move for them.<\/p>\n \u201cLike I\u2019ve said, he\u2019s a very talented player, and playing under Howe might get the best out of him because he\u2019s always spoken about highly for his man management.<\/p>\n \u201cSo if he becomes available, whether it\u2019s in January or next year, Newcastle could well be among those willing to take a gamble on bringing him in.<\/p>\n \u201cOf course, with any deal, it\u2019ll have to be for the right price and that sort of thing, but that\u2019s something they\u2019ll have to consider when the time comes.\u201d<\/p>\n Camavinga missed the opening four games of the season with an ankle injury, which Brown and Football Insider may not have taken into account.<\/p>\n His first appearance in a matchday squad under Alonso came against Marseille in the Champions League, though he was an unused substitute. He then played his first minutes in injury time against Espanyol in La Liga and came off the bench in the 82nd minute away to Levante on Tuesday.<\/p>\n Camavinga hasn\u2019t started a match yet, but it\u2019s a long season, and he remains one of the most promising midfielders in the world. Joining Newcastle, or any other Premier League side, still feels very unlikely.<\/p>\n
