\u00a0The Nun director\u00a0Corin Hardy\u00a0is back with cursed object horror movie\u00a0Whistle, and a new poster has arrived to highlight the cursed object and a new release date.<\/p>\n

After Whistle makes its World Premiere at Fantastic Fest, the horror movie is set to release in theaters on February 6, 2026.<\/p>\n

The high school horror movie centered around an Aztec Death Whistle, known for its shrieking sound, stars\u00a0Dafne Keen (Logan,\u00a0\u201cThe Acolyte<\/a> \u201c),\u00a0Sophie N\u00e9lisse (\u201cYellowjackets\u201d),\u00a0Sky Yang (Rebel Moon),\u00a0Percy Hynes White (\u201cWednesday\u201d), and\u00a0Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead).<\/p>\n

In\u00a0Whistle, \u201ca misfit group of unwitting high school students stumble upon a cursed object, an ancient Aztec Death Whistle. They discover that blowing the whistle and the terrifying sound it emits will summon their future deaths to hunt them down. As the body count rises, the friends investigate the origins of the deadly artifact in a desperate effort to stop the horrifying chain of events that they have set in motion.\u201d<\/p>\n

The film\u00a0was written by\u00a0Owen Egerton\u00a0(Blood Fest, Mercy Black), adapted from his own short story.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0produced by David Gross (Room) for No Trace Camping and Macdara Kelleher (The Pope\u2019s Exorcist) for Wild Atlantic Pictures, with Black Bear handling international sales.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhistle\u00a0is made with the same heart-on-sleeve, disenfranchised-teen-spirit found in my favorite genre movies that I grew up watching,\u201d said Hardy previously. \u201cI\u00a0was drawn to the mysterious mythology surrounding the \u2018Death Whistle\u2019 and how it presented me with the opportunity to create a variety of cinematic, imaginative, and terrifying deaths.\u201d<\/p>\n

Whistle has been rated \u201cR\u201d for \u201cstrong violent content, gore, drug content, and some language\u201d.<\/p>\n
