\n\tEXCLUSIVE: Here\u2019s a trailer and several more first-look images at the BBC<\/a>\u2018s romantic comedy-drama Film Club<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tCo-created by and starring The White Lotus\u2018 Aimee Lou Wood<\/a>, the series also stars Suranne Jones<\/a>, Nabhaan Rizwan, Liv Hill and, in one of his first roles since his record-setting Emmy win, Adolescence star Owen Cooper<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tAhead of the show\u2019s UK debut on the BBC iPlayer and BBC Three on Tuesday, October 7, the trailer shows a first glimpse of Evie (Wood) and her film club, which is her weekly escape to create a world of wonder, deck her mum\u2019s garage out in whatever the movie calls for, and spend a few uninterrupted hours with her best friend Noa (Rizwan).<\/p>\n

\n\tAs the trailer begins, Evie hasn\u2019t left her house in six months, but her latest film club comes with a shock as Noa reveals a dream new job will take him to the other side of the country. With the threat of distance between them, they\u2019re forced to consider they might be more than friends.<\/p>\n

\n\tAlso revealed in trailer is the world of Evie\u2019s eccentric family, including fiercely loving single mum Suz (Jones), sister Izzie (Hill), handsome boyfriend and \u2018man of the house Josh (Adam Long) and frustrating neighbor Callum (Cooper).<\/p>\n

\n\tAlso starring in the series are Arian Nik, Fola Evans-Akingbola and Wood\u2019s series co-creator, Ralph Davis, as a trio of film club members. Lisa McGrillis plays another neighbor.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe UK arm of Lupin and Obsession producer Gaumont is making the show with support from ZDFneo in Germany. Stella Merz (Gentleman Jack) and Hannah Pescod (The Lovers) are producers, and Catherine Morshead (Daddy Issues, The Full Monty) directs the series. Executive producers are Alison Jackson, Jamie Jackson and Aimee Lou Wood for Gaumont, and Nawfal Faizullah for the BBC. International sales will be handled by Fremantle<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tFilm Club marks the screenwriting debut of both White Lotus and Sex Education star Wood and Davis, who has appeared in shows such as House of the Dragon and Big Boys. Anna Jordan (One Day) joined the writing team for episode four of the six-part show. Filming wrapped earlier this year.<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter all episodes drop on the BBC iPlayer, and two episodes run on BBC Three on October 7, the first two eps will repeat on BBC One a night later (October 8).<\/p>\n
