Rory McIlroy: ‘It’s a great day for
\nEurope. We would have absolutely taken this last night if
\nyou had told us we would be 5 1\/2 – 2 1\/2 up. <\/p>\n

“Obviously in the moment right now, I’m disappointed I
\ndidn’t hole that for a full point but the guys have done so
\nwell today, and right now, it’s just about recovering and
\nresting up and getting ready for tomorrow.”<\/p>\n

Shane Lowry: “Obviously we are going to be very
\nhappy but we had this the first day in Rome. And Luke is a
\ngreat captain. <\/p>\n

“He’s going to be going in and he’s not going
\nto be too excited.
\nWe’ve got a job to do, and we’ve got two tough days ahead
\nof us.<\/p>\n

“As you’ve seen, it was pretty rowdy out there this
\nafternoon, and you know, it it’s going to get like that over
