Will West Ham make sensible Nuno decision or go batsh*t again?<\/a><\/p>\nJamie Carragher won\u2019t be surprised by Potter\u2019s sacking having claimed on the Stick to Football podcast that he\u2019s had enough time to turn things around.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cIt\u2019s not early because Graham Potter\u2019s whole time there, since he came in, hasn\u2019t been good enough. It\u2019s not just the start of the season.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think most people were probably thinking that he could lose his job off the back of Crystal Palace at home.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe next two games are away at Everton and Arsenal, two tough games. I\u2019d be very surprised if Potter is the manager after the next two games.\u201d<\/p>\n
West Ham face Everton at Goodison Park on Monday, and when asked about his future ahead of that game, Potter claimed he had held \u201cpositive talks\u201d with the West Ham owners.<\/p>\n
\u201c[Speculation] doesn\u2019t affect me,\u201d Potter told reporters. \u201cIt\u2019s other people\u2019s job to create speculation. It\u2019s part of the noise of the Premier League.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf results aren\u2019t good, then it happens and I expect that because they haven\u2019t been good enough. I have nothing to complain about in that perspective.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve spoken to the owners, as we do every week. They\u2019re positive talks but no-one is happy with where we\u2019re at and how we want to improve.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the same time, you have to look at the context of the situation and not get caught up in the noise\u2026 We\u2019re all the same. If you don\u2019t win enough, you\u2019re under pressure and scrutiny.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf the conclusion is that the results aren\u2019t good enough and the coach is the problem, then the consequences are the consequences.
