Martin was adamant he still had the support of the club\u2019s owners after meeting in the wake of the Genk defeat.<\/p>\nBut Meghoma accepts the Ibrox side need to up their game fast – and prove they have the mental strength to play for the club by shutting out the noise.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cAbsolutely. We need to focus on the next game and making sure that we win for this club – because it’s a massive club.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd we should be doing better for this club.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a mentality thing, you know. We’re working on it every single day and we’ve just got to focus on the next game and try and prepare as well as we can.<\/p>\n
\u201cOf course you have to support each other. As a team, we have to be together. It’s the only way to get through a tough time like this.<\/p>\n
\u201cCan a victory change things? Absolutely. We need to just win a game of football.\u201d<\/p>\n
Martin was defiant after Thursday\u2019s night\u2019s defeat to Genk which saw Rangers reduced to 10-men when Mohamed Diomande was red carded just before the break with the game goalless.<\/p>\n
Furious supporters hit the boos again long before the final whistle while chants of Martin GTF rung out at full-time and not for the first time.<\/p>\n
But the manager met with owner Andrew Cavenagh, chief executive Patrick Stewart and sporting director Kevin Thelwell soon after and insists they remain on the same page as they look for a way to push the club forward.<\/p>\n
Meghoma has only tasted victory once in seven outings since agreeing a loan switch from the Premier League club last month.<\/p>\n
And that\u2019s a stat that stings the Bees\u2019 youngster who has also endured a brutal introduction to European football with bruising defeats to Genk and Club Brugge.<\/p>\n
The 19-year-old knows Martin better than most having been handed his professional debut at Southampton by the Englishman two years ago.<\/p>\n
And he said: \u201cEverybody was disappointed and down on Thursday because we didn’t get the result we should have got at the end of the day.<\/p>\n
\u201cEverybody was a bit disappointed.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think at times it could have been better in that first half.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe had chances to kind of really dominate them and we didn’t take that.<\/p>\n
\u201cI talked to him (Martin) at the end. There’s not much he can say.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe said we played alright, but we did it to ourselves kind of thing.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen you’re going down to 10 men, it\u2019s quite hard to win a game like that.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou want to win a game, but again, it is what it is and you’ve got to move on to the next game.\u201d<\/p>\n

The critics are adamant Martin\u2019s system is broken. But according to Meghoma it\u2019s down to the players to fix it – rather than the manager to tear it up and start again.<\/p>\n
Martin\u2019s insistence on a possession-based game and building from the back has won him little support among those who matter most – the fans.<\/p>\n
Not only has it brought just four wins from 14 games but a lack of goalscoring opportunities within those matches as well while too often opponents have been presented with gifts due to Rangers over-playing in front of their own goal.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s brought a ton of pressure down on the boss from the stands which will again be ramped up ahead of kick-off at Livingston.<\/p>\n
But left back Meghoma insists the best way to turn their fortunes round is by buying into Martin\u2019s gameplan – and doing it better.<\/p>\n
Asked if it was time to change the system for the player\u2019s own good, the Brentford loanee said: \u201cI’m not too sure.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs players, when you’re under a system, you kind of really need to take to it and focus.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou have to try and do your best to play in that way.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt’s never easy either way (whether your winning or losing) but as a team we’re always focused and prepared for the next game.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re always attempting to win the game and that’s what we have to do against Livingston.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery game has its different challenges and poses a different threat.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe know we’re coming up against them and we’re ready for it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Livi\u2019s artificial surface will be a new experience for the 19-year-old – on a professional basis anyway.<\/p>\n
But he knows there will be no excuses should Rangers come up short again.<\/p>\n
It’s been an unforgiving few weeks for the youngster since he made the move north.<\/p>\n
But he insisted: \u201cI\u2019m enjoying it, but at the same time, you know, I\u2019m always focused on the next game.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a team, as a whole, we do need to focus on what we can do together.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn a professional level I\u2019ve never played on an artificial surface, no.<\/p>\n
