Gen Z Phone Anxiety Tops This Week’s Internet Buzz

What you’re about to read is an issue of the Only Good Internet newsletter, which brings you the funniest, weirdest, and most interesting content from around the internet, no doomscrolling required. Subscribe here and you’ll get the web’s best stuff in your inbox every week!

Welcome to Only Good Internet, where I give you a little bit of good internet content, as a treat.

I want to talk to my fellow millennials for a bit, here (Gen X, you, too). Because I came across this tweet this week:

And the replies are SO MUCH FUN. It’s a real trip down memory lane, and the lane is littered with all the dumb stuff we used to do “back in the day.” Like, for example:

Then there was this one (a classic):

…That Gen Z answers the phone and doesn’t say anything. Apparently, this is a thing: Zoomers will answer the phone and, instead of saying “hello,” they’ll wait there silently for the person calling to speak first.

This is the cutest dang thing I’ve seen in a while:

“Sir, there’s a situation on platform 2!” “Don’t tell me…”

I always like to finish every week by leaving you with a little something that I can’t get out of my head. This week, it’s all about this thought:

That’s all for this week, see you later! And remember, if you want more like this, you can subscribe to the Only Good Internet newsletter (if you want, I mean, don’t let me tell you what to do, ya know?).

[18
10777,10778,10779,1638,86,10780,56,54,55
post-16421","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-internet","tag-bestofinternet-memes","tag-bestofinternet-tiktok","tag-bestofinternet-tumblr","tag-internet","tag-technology","tag-topical","tag-uk","tag-united-kingdom","tag-unitedkingdom
["GET
