{"id":164443,"date":"2025-09-27T19:52:09","date_gmt":"2025-09-27T19:52:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/164443\/"},"modified":"2025-09-27T19:52:09","modified_gmt":"2025-09-27T19:52:09","slug":"china-open-emma-raducanu-sonay-kartal-iga-swiatek-reach-third-round","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/164443\/","title":{"rendered":"China Open: Emma Raducanu, Sonay Kartal &#038; Iga Swiatek reach third round"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">World number 31 Raducanu, the 30th seed, managed only 16 winners to Bucsa&#8217;s 28, but maintained the upper hand in the key exchanges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">She saved six break points in a competitive first set before winning the final two games to seemingly take charge of the match.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Raducanu won the opening two games of the second but, after missing the chance to go 3-0 up, was pegged back as Bucsa finally broke serve to draw level at 2-2.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">She broke back immediately and won four of the final five games.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Raducanu, who had a bye in the first round, was playing for the first time since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/sport\/tennis\/articles\/ceq2788w4v1o\" class=\"ssrcss-k8mrr8-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">losing to Barbora Krejcikova<\/a> in the quarter-finals of the Korea Open this month, when she missed three match points.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;I&#8217;m very happy to have gotten over it and after a tough one last week to bounce back,&#8221; said Raducanu, before impressing the crowd by speaking Mandarin.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;I really want to do well here.
