Red-hot Bob MacIntyre <\/a>was in dreamland alongside Viktor Hovland as Team Europe teed themselves up for another Ryder Cup glory bid.<\/p>\n And the Oban sensation offered a kiss to the patrons during a thrilling round as a selection of sickened home fans left early after the foursomes left the hosts in a five-point hole.<\/p>\n The Scottish hero and the Norwegian scratched and clawed to 1-up victory on the final hole<\/a> at Bethpage Black as World No.1 Scottie Scheffler and Russell Henley were banished on the 18th.<\/p>\n That setback left USA chasing a major deficit and sent many of patrons backing the home team heading for the exits.<\/p>\n And those backing blue spotted their rivals heading for the hills and showered them in chants of “we can see you sneaking out.”<\/p>\n MacIntyre and Hovland received a rock star reception from their captain Luke Donald and his key lieutenants on the 18th as Europe one against flexed their collective muscle.<\/p>\n MacIntyre was beaming after the win.<\/p>\n He said: \u201cYeah, difficult, especially when you get on this side of the road. But we\u2019ve got guys like this to back you up, the guys in the changing room, the support staff, family, friends, and our fans as well.<\/p>\n “We are doing this for not just ourselves, but for everyone who here. But just delighted to do it with this guy.<\/p>\n “It\u2019s brilliant. We\u2019ve known each other since we were young. Played against each other at times as well. Look, to be able to play in these golf tournaments is special for the two of us.<\/p>\n “It\u2019s what dreams are made of. We\u2019ve come here. We\u2019ve got a job to do and we\u2019re trying our best.
