{"id":165791,"date":"2025-09-28T10:56:07","date_gmt":"2025-09-28T10:56:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/165791\/"},"modified":"2025-09-28T10:56:07","modified_gmt":"2025-09-28T10:56:07","slug":"george-groves-beat-chris-eubank-jr-and-now-delivers-honest-verdict-on-conor-benn-rematch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/165791\/","title":{"rendered":"George Groves Beat Chris Eubank Jr And Now Delivers Honest Verdict On Conor Benn Rematch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.secondsout.com\/topic\/george-groves\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">George Groves<\/a> knows what it takes to beat <a href=\"https:\/\/www.secondsout.com\/topic\/chris-eubank-jr\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Chris Eubank Jr.<\/a> and has now given his view on the rematch with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.secondsout.com\/topic\/conor-benn\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Conor Benn<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.co.uk\/boxing\/story\/_\/id\/22482263\/george-groves-beats-chris-eubank-unanimous-decision\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Groves kept Eubank at bay to take a 12-round points win back in 2018<\/a> despite dislocating his shoulder late in the fight.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, Eubank\u2019s best night came against generational rival Benn back in April when he secured a unanimous points decision after 12 hard-fought and intense rounds at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>The pair now go at it again in November and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7QH3W1CIucQ&amp;t=1037s\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">speaking to FightLens<\/a>, Groves explained why he thinks Benn has a chance of reversing the result of the first fight.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChris Eubank Jr I think, what are your options now, straight after Conor Benn? Fight Benn again, fight Canelo, retire or chase a middleweight belt? I don\u2019t think he can win a middleweight belt, I don\u2019t think Canelo\u2019s a good fight for him. You lived your best moment in that fight with Conor Benn last time out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was pure drama, like a Hollywood movie, how amazing would it be if he just walked away then. At the pinnacle of his most prestigious win. But he can\u2019t, most fighters can\u2019t, it\u2019s hard. Does Conor Benn beat him in the rematch? He full well could. Conor Benn could be the fighter that comes back better.
