3<\/p>\n The Wanted last performed in Scotland in 2022Credit: Getty 3<\/p>\n Bandmates Max George and Siva Kaneswaran will play two Scots shows in the coming weeksCredit: Splash 3<\/p>\n Tragic Tom Parker died after a brave battle with brain cancer aged 33 in March 2022Credit: AP<\/p>\n It\u2019s the first time the duo will perform north of the border since the devastating loss of their bandmate Tom Parker<\/a>, who died in March 2022 after a brave battle with brain cancer.<\/p>\n Fans of the Glad You Came hitmakers can catch them at Edinburgh\u2019s Inverleith Park on Saturday, August 2, and Glasgow\u2019s Rouken Glen Park on Saturday, August 10, as part of the three-day extravaganzas packed with celebrity<\/a> chefs<\/a>, cooking<\/a> demos and top-tier live music.<\/p>\n The Wanted 2.0 will be joined by festival favourites Scouting For Girls and the sensational Symphonic Ibiza<\/a>.<\/p>\n The band last performed in Scotland<\/a> in 2022, just weeks before Tom\u2019s heartbreaking death at the age of 33.<\/p>\n READ MORE ON THE SCOTTISH SUN<\/p>\n Max and Siva reunited with bandmates Nathan Sykes<\/a>, Jay McGuiness and Tom Parker<\/a> for a greatest hits album and a one-off reunion show in 2021, which was followed by an emotional tour in early 2022.<\/p>\n The final gig, in Liverpool<\/a>, took place just two weeks before Tom tragically passed away.<\/p>\n Reflecting on the tour, Nathan said: \u201cObviously you\u2019d give anything for it not to have happened.<\/p>\n \u201cBut, equally, I\u2019m so grateful that we were able to have that time given that it did happen.”<\/p>\n However, a four-piece reunion with Nathan and Jay seems unlikely.<\/p>\n Nathan, who is now focusing on his solo career, said: \u201cI\u2019m really happy for them.<\/p>\n Max George shares health update as he leaves hospital after latest surgery<\/p>\n \u201cThey get a lot of enjoyment in performing the music, and they see it as a tribute to Tom.<\/p>\n \u201cWhereas Jay and I\u2019s approach to it is that there\u2019s a lot of emotion attached to that still. And I think we would find that really difficult.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s just two different approaches, and neither one is wrong.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it\u2019s really difficult imagining The Wanted as a four-piece because The Wanted has been and will only ever be a five-piece.”<\/p>\n Max, 36, has also had a tough journey back to the stage.<\/p>\n The singer was fitted with a pacemaker in December after his mum, Babs, noticed he had \u201cturned blue\u201d and insisted he go to A&E.<\/p>\n Fearing he wouldn\u2019t make it through Christmas<\/a>, Max even wrote out a will on his iPhone<\/a>.<\/p>\n Weeks later, he underwent a second secret surgery<\/a> after the pacemaker wires were fitted too deeply, causing painful \u201cflickering sensations\u201d in his chest.<\/p>\n Max admitted the ordeal left him shaken, saying: \u201cThe night before, I was really nervous.
