Joe Emerson was arrested, but the incident sparked a growing debate over pilot mental health.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">A 2022 study estimated 56% of pilots avoid seeking medical care due to fear of being grounded.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">In an interview with CBS News, Emerson said he takes responsibility for his actions. He is facing more than 80 state and federal charges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Other high-stress professions include doctors and nurses, law enforcement, military, firefighters and social workers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Alaska\u2019s News Source interviewed Brandy Stratman from Providence Behavioral Health Monday to speak more about the stigma workers in these types of careers face.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">See a spelling or grammar error?
