A Ryanair flight was diverted after a passenger reportedly ‘ate his passport’ and another attempted to flush one down the toilet.<\/p>\n

The plane recently jetted off from Milan to London<\/a> Stansted but quickly turned to chaos.<\/p>\n

Around 15 to 20 minutes into the journey, two men began to behave ‘strange,’ an anonymous source told the Daily Star<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Shortly after the seatbelt signed switched off, one man at the front of the plane reportedly ripped pages out of his passport and ate them, causing passengers to ‘freak out’.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, another man attempted to ‘flush his passport down the toilet’.<\/p>\n

‘Staff were notified and went to see what was going on at the front of the plane,’ the source told the publication.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Suddenly the whole mood changed \u2013 no one onboard knew what was going on, these people were acting weird.’<\/p>\n

A flight attendant reportedly knocked on the toilet door and tried to convince the man to stop flushing the important travel document.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Then, the airhostess made a ‘blunt’ announcement to the entire plane over the speakers about what was taking place, which apparently ‘freaked out’ passengers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Eventually the flight was diverted to Paris, which the source called ‘the most terrifying 15 minutes of my life’.<\/p>\n

When the plane landed, French authorities were waiting and reportedly arrested the two men.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The plane then continued its journey to London after the two-hour incident.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In the end, the source said Ryanair handled everything ‘amazingly’.<\/p>\n

The Daily Mail has approached Ryanair for comment.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Just last month, an American Airlines flight was forced to divert 600 miles because of a fuel leak.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Hundreds of travellers were caught up in the chaos after the Boeing 777 plane from Texas<\/a> to Paris re-routed to Tennessee<\/a> due to a mechanical issue on August 31.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Flight tracking services show the plane set off from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport at 1.15am local time.<\/p>\n

The plane was airborne for just over an hour.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Crew members reported a mechanical issue which one passenger confirmed to the Daily Mail was a fuel leak. The plane was diverted to Nashville International Airport.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Passengers said they were then de-planed and loaded onto a recovery flight to their final destination, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport in France<\/a>, an entire day later.\u00a0<\/p>\n
