you might suffer from tight hips, which can affect your posture, balance and even how well you squat or lunge.<\/p>\n<p>I love a fitness challenge, so I decided to see if I could counteract this damage by doing hip openers for 30 days, performing 10 repetitions per leg, between one and three times a day.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"elk-seasonal\" href=\"\" data-url=\"\" target=\"_blank\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"10970dd0-92bb-4089-9b88-fd039867bc4f-2\">The results showed that it&#8217;s always worth investing some time stressed, we can feel more tension and stiffness in certain muscles, like the <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.physio-pedia.com\/Psoas_Major\" target=\"_blank\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.physio-pedia.com\/Psoas_Major\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">psoas muscle<\/a> in the lower back.<\/p>\n<p>This discomfort in our muscles can make it harder to sleep, which has the knock-on effect of making us feel more stressed because we&#8217;ve not had a good night\u2019s rest.<\/p>\n<p>But I was pleasantly surprised when this simple mobility exercise helped reduce the tightness I\u2019d been feeling in my muscles, and as a result I slept better and felt calmer.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"elk-my-balance-improved\" href=\"\" data-url=\"\" target=\"_blank\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\"\/>My balance improved<\/p>\n<p id=\"ae8944dc-e81b-4f14-9885-a4dc3d8cd8d2\">One of my goals this year is to improve my balance, and standing on one leg doing hip openers every day has really helped.<\/p>\n<p movements like putting my shoes on while standing up all feel easier.<\/p>\n<p>My posture has also improved and I\u2019m more upright when sitting at my desk.<\/p>\n<p><a easier<\/p>\n<p id=\"bdee4484-e0eb-4043-a6e1-65345fd308e8\">When your hip flexors are stiff, it limits your range of motion, so standing up from the floor can feel challenging.<\/p>\n<p>This is because our tight hips pull the body forward, putting a strain on the back and making the move from sit to stand feel harder.<\/p>\n<p>After a month of daily hip openers, getting up from the floor was
