Margaret Qualley<\/a> likely won\u2019t be appearing in the MCU<\/a> anytime soon.<\/p>\n

Qualley recently played Sue in 2024\u2019s The Substance and will soon be seen in Ethan Cohen\u2019s Honey Don\u2019t!, which arrives in United States theaters next month. She\u2019s also been in movies such as 2016\u2019s The Nice Guys, 2019\u2019s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, 2022\u2019s Sanctuary, and 2024\u2019s Drive-Away Dolls, while she\u2019s starred in television series such as The Leftovers, Fosse\/Verdon, and Maid.<\/p>\n

In regard to Marvel<\/a>, Qualley\u2019s name often comes up in fancasts for Rogue<\/a>, the popular X-Men<\/a> character created by Chris Claremont and Michael Golden.<\/p>\n

What did Margaret Qualley say about playing the X-Men\u2019s Rogue?<\/p>\n

When asked by Collider<\/a> if she\u2019d like to join a major franchise like the MCU, however, Qualley said she wasn\u2019t interested in doing so at this time.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, I don\u2019t think I want to commit to a franchise,\u201d she said. \u201cIt seems like a lot of time, and I\u2019m scared [laughs].\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to Honey Don\u2019t!, Qualley has a role in Happy Gilmore 2, which arrives on Netflix this Friday. She also stars in Richard Linklater\u2019s Blue Moon movie, which premiered at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival in February, and will star alongside Jacob Elordi in Ridley Scott\u2019s The Dog Stars, which arrives in 2026.<\/p>\n

As for Rogue, no MCU casting has been announced at this time. There is a Marvel Studios<\/a> X-Men movie in the works that is being directed by Thunderbolts* Jake Schreier; however, there has been no announcement regarding which characters will and won\u2019t show up in it. That film isn\u2019t expected to arrive until after Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, the latter of which hits theaters in December 2026.<\/p>\n
