Breeders\u2019 Cup Limited today announced the launch of \u201cChampions Give Back,\u201d a campaign dedicated to raising funds and awareness for Breeders\u2019 Cup Charities, dedicated to generating meaningful, lasting support for key industry non-profits and the broader Thoroughbred racing community.<\/p>\n
Led by an annual donation of all royalties received on Breeders\u2019 Cup merchandise sales, \u201cChampions Give Back\u201d will support the significantly enhanced Breeders\u2019 Cup Charities program announced earlier this year. Breeders\u2019 Cup Charities supports five core pillars: Thoroughbred aftercare, jockey health and wellness, backstretch and industry workers, equine research, and other impactful community initiatives.<\/p>\n

A $50,000 match from international philanthropist and racehorse owner Ken Freirich will double the power of all donations received during the campaign, which will start Oct. 1 and run through the Oct. 31-Nov. 1 Breeders\u2019 Cup World Championships at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club.<\/p>\n
Additionally included in the campaign for guests at the World Championships, $1 from every official Breeders\u2019 Cup cocktail \u2013 the Torrie Cup featuring Maker\u2019s Mark bourbon and the Garland, featuring Chopin Vodka \u2013 will be donated to Breeders\u2019 Cup Charities.<\/p>\n
