However, a blue flag for race leader <a href=\"https:\/\/formulanerds.com\/news\/lando-norris-denies-rumors-about-mclarens-upgrade-claims\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lando Norris<\/a> forced both to lift. Bortoleto crossed the line eighth, his first points in F1, just behind Alonso. \u201cI was lucky, \u00a0without the blue flags, I had no chance to keep him behind.\u201d claimed him.<\/p>\n<p>Their duel echoed simulator and karting battles the two have shared. Bortoleto may not have the numbers yet, but he has the respect of a legend.
