Pic: PA<\/p>\n<p>At a special sitting on Tuesday evening, Drogheda District Court heard O&#8217;Connor made no reply when police put the three counts of murder to him.<\/p>\n<p>Dressed in a grey coloured sweatshirt and black tracksuit bottoms, he was expressionless as he appeared in the dock.<\/p>\n<p>O&#8217;Connor has been with mental health services since he was 22, the court heard.<\/p>\n<p>Defence solicitor Paul Moore applied for a psychiatric assessment for his client, and also for legal aid.<\/p>\n<p>There was no application for bail.<\/p>\n<p>O&#8217;Connor was remanded into custody by Judge Stephanie Coggans.<\/p>\n<p>The defendant is due to appear in the same court via videolink on 6 October.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A man has been charged with the murder of his parents and brother in Ireland.
