Three-weight world champion Shakur Stevenson<\/a> has conceded to the fact that a showdown with one fighter in particular will never happen.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old from Newark made his return to the ring back in July when he made the third successful defence of his WBC lightweight title against Mexico\u2019s William Zepeda<\/a> at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in New York City.<\/p>\n

Reports are suggesting that Stevenson is on the verge of finalising a deal to face countryman Teofimo Lopez<\/a> next, with rumours circulating that he will make the move up to super-lightweight to challenge for Lopez\u2019s WBO world title in January.<\/p>\n

Whilst fans and analysts are looking forward to the intriguing clash between Stevenson and Lopez, one fighter that has been on the radar of the WBC lightweight champion over the last few years is Gervonta Davis<\/a>, although a showdown between \u2018Tank\u2019 and Stevenson is yet to come to fruition.<\/p>\n

Much to the disappointment of boxing fans, Stevenson recently confirmed on social media<\/a> that he is \u2018moving on\u2019 from the idea of sharing the ring with Davis in the future, as he sets his sights on becoming a four-weight world champion.<\/p>\n
