A healthcare company has announced the creation of 100 new jobs in the north-west as part of a \u00a35m investment into the region. <\/p>\n
Ann\u2019s Care Group, which runs five locations in the north-west for people with long-term health problems, said it will be hiring in the next 12 months.<\/p>\n
And it said it could create as many as 500 jobs in the coming years.<\/p>\n
The latest stage of recruitment will include registered nurses, healthcare assistants, ancillary roles, social care leaders and social care workers.<\/p>\n
The company is also nearing completion of two more units in Derry City and Strabane, which it says will provide care for \u201cresidents living with enhanced dementia care needs.\u201d<\/p>\n
The group is also set to open a children\u2019s residential care home on the border with Donegal by the end of 2025.<\/p>\n
It said it is also planning a \u201cstep down facility\u201d in Drumahoe outside Derry for people who have left hospital but are not ready to return home. <\/p>\n
Michael McQuade, director of Ann\u2019s Care Homes, said: \u201cAt Ann\u2019s, we\u2019re proud to be at the forefront of driving real change in healthcare across Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n
“Over the next 12 months we will create 100 new healthcare jobs across Derry\/Londonderry and the surrounding areas, with further plans to grow our workforce by up to 500 positions within the next three years.<\/p>\n
