Legendary fighter-turned-promoter Oscar De La Hoya<\/a> believes there is one fighter in particular that is even greater than Terence Crawford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2018Bud\u2019 Crawford has proved himself to be arguably the greatest fighter of his generation in recent weeks after he defeated Mexican icon Canelo Alvarez<\/a> to capture the undisputed super-middleweight championship on September 13.<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old from Omaha put on an outstanding display against Canelo<\/a> at a sold-out Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to become the first male fighter in the history of the sport to win an undisputed championship in three weight classes.<\/p>\n

Although Crawford has enjoyed exceptional success throughout the course of his professional career, six-time world champion De La Hoya believes there is one former world champion in particular that eclipses the Omaha-native.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the media, \u2018The Golden Boy\u2019 claimed that the legendary Floyd Mayweather is \u2018much more superior\u2019 than Crawford, admitting that he believes his former rival is a technically better fighter than his countryman.<\/p>\n

\u201cCrawford is more of a fighter boxer, and Mayweather is more of a boxer. But Mayweather is much more superior than Crawford. I feel that technically, Mayweather is the better fighter.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018Money\u2019 Mayweather is considered to be not only one of the best fighters of his generation, but arguably the greatest fighter to have ever laced up a pair of gloves. <\/a><\/p>\n
