Fabio Wardley believes a future fight with Moses Itauma is a genuine possibility, but only if he and his stablemate claim world titles first.<\/p>\n

The British heavyweights are both on the verge of challenging for major belts.<\/p>\n

Wardley faces Joseph Parker<\/a> on October 25 in a WBO interim title fight<\/a> to establish the next mandatory challenger for undisputed king Oleksandr Usyk<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Itauma is ranked No.1 by the WBA and WBO<\/a> following a perfect 13-0 start to life in the paid ranks.<\/p>\n

Both men are trained by Ben Davison, which would make for an awkward conversation if they signed to fight each other.<\/p>\n

However, Wardley believes that could be placed to one side if the terms are right.<\/p>\n

“Who knows how the future’s going to go? Right now me and Moses, we’re both on our own courses,” Wardley told\u00a0Sky Sports News.<\/p>\n

“We both need to grab our world titles first, before we’re able to have some conversations, maybe about crossing swords ourselves.<\/p>\n

“But there’s enough out there right now for the pair of us to have a go at and just occupy ourselves with before we need to start having a serious think about us maybe getting in the ring at the same time.”<\/p>\n

When is Moses Itauma’s next fight?<\/p>\n

While Wardley’s next fight is set in stone, Itauma’s future remains less clear.<\/p>\n

The Chatham southpaw is scheduled to box on December 13 in Manchester, yet finding an opponent has proved difficult following his one-round blowout of Dillian Whyte<\/a> in August.<\/p>\n

According to head coach Davison, previous frontrunners Jermaine Franklin and Filip Hrgovic have both turned down the opportunity<\/a> to face the precocious 20-year-old talent.<\/p>\n

“Those are the two on everybody’s lips,” Davison told Sky Sports of fights with Hrgovic and Franklin.<\/p>\n

“They’re not interested, and it’s the same for pretty much all of them, so it’s difficult.<\/p>\n

“It’s difficult to get these opponents at this moment in time. They’re not interested; they don’t want to play ball.<\/p>\n

“They just want so much money to box him; it’s hard to get the opponents.<\/p>\n

“But if not, I suppose we’ll have to drop down a level and try again in the new year, maybe.<\/p>\n
