Priyansh Arya<\/a>, who shone in the 2025 IPL, struck his maiden List A ton, smashing 101 off 84 balls while opening the innings for India A against Australia at Kanpur today (October 1).<\/p>\n Priyansh Arya scores maiden List A century <\/p>\n The 24-year-old had a breakout season in this year\u2019s IPL<\/a>, scoring 475 runs in 17 matches with a strike rate of 179.24. He struck a hundred off just 39 deliveries, also hitting two fifties as he helped Punjab Kings to a top-two finish.<\/p>\n Picked in the India A team for the first time, Arya, playing in the rescheduled first ODI (postponed to Wednesday due to rain on September 30), opened the batting alongside his IPL teammate Prabhsimran Singh<\/a>. The duo got off to a flying start, putting on a 135-run stand in 20.3 overs, before Prabhsimran (56 in 53) departed. Arya fell a few overs later as well, but not before notching up a quickfire hundred, also his maiden List A fifty-plus score. His knock contained 11 fours and as many as five sixes, striking at 120.23.<\/p>\n The innings also doubled his List A career tally: He had 77 runs in seven innings ahead of the match at an average of 11, with a high score of 45. Arya made his debut in the format in November 2023, making 45 in 32 deliveries. However, he was unable to carry on, finishing the season with scores of 6, 15, 4 and 5. Arya played only two more games in the Vijay Hazare Trophy for Delhi in the next two seasons, making four in both instances.<\/p>\n Shreyas Iyer also tons up against Australia A <\/p>\n Skipper Shreyas Iyer, who also led Punjab Kings this season<\/a>, walked in at No.3 and ensured the momentum never dipped.
