{"id":175299,"date":"2025-10-02T14:21:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-02T14:21:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/175299\/"},"modified":"2025-10-02T14:21:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-02T14:21:07","slug":"quantum-computing-stocks-soar-sherwood-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/175299\/","title":{"rendered":"Quantum computing stocks soar &#8211; Sherwood News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"css-g65o95\" href=\"https:\/\/sherwood.news\/markets\/credit-bureaus-sink-as-fico-launches-a-direct-program-for-fico-scores\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Credit bureaus sink as FICO launches a direct program for FICO scores, eliminating reliance on credit bureaus<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"css-14ve0pc\">Nationwide credit bureaus <a class=\"inline-stock css-1iix00n\" href=\"https:\/\/robinhood.com\/stocks\/EFX\/?source=sherwood\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Equifax<\/a> and TransUnion are down 11% and 5% in premarket trading on Thursday, respectively, after Fair Isaac Corp. announced a new program to enable tri-merge resellers to directly distribute FICO scores to customers. <\/p>\n<p class=\"css-14ve0pc\">Dublin-based Experian PLC also dropped as much as 5% on the news. <\/p>\n<p class=\"css-14ve0pc\">Per FICO\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20251001652134\/en\/FICO-Launches-Cost-Cutting-Direct-License-Program-for-Mortgage-Lending\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"css-uubm0\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">press release<\/a>: \u201cWith the launch of the FICO\u00ae Mortgage Direct License Program, tri-merge resellers have the option to calculate and distribute FICO Scores directly to their customers, eliminating reliance on the three nationwide credit bureaus. This shift will drive price transparency and immediate cost savings to mortgage lenders, mortgage brokers, and other industry participants.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"css-14ve0pc\">Through this streamlining effort, resellers that buy and merge reports from Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian into one would rely less on these intermediaries in the chain to directly distribute their FICO scores. In effect, FICO hopes to eliminate \u201cunnecessary mark-ups on the FICO Score\u201d  and put \u201cpricing model choice in the hands of those who use FICO Scores to drive mortgage decisions,\u201d according to Will Lansing, chief executive officer of FICO. <\/p>\n<p class=\"css-14ve0pc\">FICO calculates this shift will reduce the average fee per score by some 50%, with the royalty fee under the new model set at $4.95 per score, compared to the $10 fee per score in the previous system.
