(WCAX) &#8211; Milton Police officer Sgt. Paul Locke continues to suffer the lasting mental and physical impacts of a shooting that left him injured earlier this spring.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcax.com\/2025\/04\/24\/officer-recovering-after-vermont-shooting-suspect-takes-own-life\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wcax.com\/2025\/04\/24\/officer-recovering-after-vermont-shooting-suspect-takes-own-life\/\">Locke was shot while responding to an apartment fire in April.
